What the Screen Recorder does

Screen Recorder captures your screen (or a specific window or tab) without leaving ChartAnimator and places the recording as a video overlay layer on the canvas. Use it to capture a live trading platform, a TradingView chart, or any real-time screen content and combine it with your animated chart layers in a single timeline.

Available on Pro and Creator.

How to use the Screen Recorder

1. Open Overlays and Media and select Screen Recorder.
2. Grant browser screen capture permission and select the window or tab to record.
3. The recording appears as a video layer on the timeline that you can trim, reposition, and layer with annotations.

When to use it

• Record a live TradingView chart and overlay it with ChartAnimator annotations.
• Capture a broker platform walkthrough and combine it with an explainer animation.
• Show your order flow tool or DOM alongside an animated price action breakdown.

Tips

• Record at 1080p or higher for crisp quality when embedding into a 1920x1080 export.
• Trim the recording to remove any dead time before or after the key moment.
• Use picture-in-picture mode by making the screen recording smaller and placing it in a corner.
