Pixel Editor
Trim, cut, and arrange audio clips directly on the timeline with a visual waveform editor.
What the Pixel Editor does
Pixel Editor is ChartAnimator's built-in audio clip editor. It displays your audio track as a visual waveform so you can see exactly where sounds, music, and voice-overs sit relative to your chart animation. Trim the start and end of any clip, cut out unwanted sections, and position clips precisely on the timeline. No external audio software needed - edit your audio in the same tool where you build your video.
Available on Pro and Creator.
How to use the Pixel Editor
- Select any audio layer on the timeline and open it in the Pixel Editor panel.
- Use the waveform view to identify the sections you want to keep. Drag the trim handles to cut the start or end of the clip.
- Use the cut tool to split a clip at any point and delete or reposition individual segments.
When to use it
- Trim a background music track so it starts exactly when your first candle appears.
- Cut out a long silence in the middle of a voice-over recording without re-recording.
- Split an audio clip into two segments to place different sections at different points in the video.
Tips
- Zoom into the waveform for precise cuts - tiny silences and pops are easier to spot up close.
- Trim voice-over clips tightly so they end before the next visual transition for a polished feel.
- Use cut + delete to remove filler words from a spoken commentary track.
