Text Overlay

What the Text Overlay does

Text Overlay places a text layer anywhere on the canvas with full control over font size, weight, color, alignment, and animation entrance. Supports multi-line text and can be used for titles, labels, watermarks, lower-thirds, and callout text. Text layers live on the timeline and can be timed to appear and disappear at specific frames.

Included on every plan, including Free.

How to use the Text Overlay

1. Place a Text Overlay and type your label. Set font family, size, weight, color, and alignment.
2. Choose an entrance animation: Fade, Slide, Typewriter, Bounce, or Scale. Set the animation duration and easing.
3. Add a background: none, pill shape, or rectangle fill with custom color and opacity for readability over charts.

When to use it

• Add a title card at the start of your video with the asset name and timeframe.
• Place a watermark with your channel or brand name in the corner.
• Create a lower-third label that identifies a trade setup as it appears.

Tips

• Use a dark semi-transparent background behind text for readability over chart candles.
• Typewriter entrance animation adds energy to title reveals and section headings.
• Keep body text at 18-24px minimum for readability on 1080p exports.
