Grid Snap
Enable a canvas grid to align and snap elements with pixel-perfect precision.
What the Grid Snap does
Grid Snap displays an optional alignment grid on the canvas and enables snapping so elements automatically align to grid intersections when dragged. Toggle the grid visibility independently from the snap behavior. Set grid cell size from 4px to 64px. Grid lines are not included in exports.
Included on every plan, including Free.
How to use the Grid Snap
- Open Canvas Settings and enable Grid Snap.
- Set the grid cell size to match your preferred alignment unit.
- Drag any canvas element and it will snap to the nearest grid intersection.
When to use it
- Align multiple text overlays to a consistent baseline across different layers.
- Evenly space a series of annotation markers along a horizontal price level.
- Ensure position markers and zone boxes share consistent padding from the canvas edges.
Tips
- Use 16px or 24px grid for most layouts; 8px for precise fine-tuning of compact elements.
- Toggle snap off temporarily when you need sub-grid precision on a single element.
- Grid visibility does not affect exports, so you can leave it on during the entire editing session.
