What the Aspect Ratio does
Aspect Ratio sets the canvas dimensions for your project. Choose from preset ratios: 16:9 (landscape for YouTube), 9:16 (vertical for TikTok and Reels), 1:1 (square for Twitter and Instagram), or 4:3 (classic presentation format). Custom pixel dimensions are also available. The canvas resizes all existing elements proportionally.

How to use the Aspect Ratio
- Open Canvas Settings and select Aspect Ratio. Choose from 16:9 (YouTube), 9:16 (Shorts/Reels/TikTok), 1:1 (Instagram), or 4:3.
- The canvas resizes immediately. All existing overlay positions scale proportionally.
- Set your aspect ratio before starting a project for the cleanest layout.
When to use it
- 16:9 for YouTube long-form trade analysis videos.
- 9:16 for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts market breakdowns.
- 1:1 for Instagram feed posts and chart screenshots.
Tips
- Set your aspect ratio before adding content to avoid having to reposition everything.
- For thumbnails, 16:9 is always the right choice for YouTube.
- Vertical 9:16 content requires a more zoomed-in chart view for readability on mobile.
